Each box is unique and numbered - when you buy it, it will never be available to anybody else ever again. ![]() The Swiss Federal Bank Your box comes from the Lausanne branch of the Swiss Federal Bank (Eidgenössische Bank / Banque Fédérale) and were in use from 1912 until 2004. The Federal Bank issued its own banknotes and was one of the largest Swiss banks until it was acquired by UBS. The bank's vault, built by Fichet, was moved to the UBS regional headquarters across the road. When UBS moved to a larger building across the road in 2004 we were able to secure exclusive rights to this famed vault. The Banque Fédérale share certificates (above) are considered by collectors to be the most decorative on the Swiss market. ![]() What did your box contain? Who owned it?
