Swiss Combination Safe Deposit Box Door
Home > Framed Locks > Combination > Door

This highly distinctive Swiss safe deposit box door was around 1923 by Bauer A.G. in Zürich for UBS, now the largest bank in Switzerland. It is made from 1cm (0.4'') solid steel and brass. The keyhole was used for both banker and client keys. The 4 alphabetical dials with 23 letters each offered an additional layer of security in case the client key was stolen. This is the most decorative safe deposit box door we have ever seen in a Swiss bank and we have been able to save only a handful. Each door is uniquely marked with a numbered brass plate. The hinges are huge and also made from solid brass to ensure corrosion-proof functionning for, literally, hundreds of years. All the items we sell are real bank door used in a real Swiss bank.
