
55x70x11cm museum-grade shadow-box with original 1912 Fichet safe deposit box from the vault of the Swiss Federal Bank Lausanne branch, later used in the Union Bank Switzerland vault across the road until 2004. Door dimensions 11x33cm. Both door and lock have entirely been restored, with brass components hand polished and lacquered to preserve their shiny look. The 7x13cm lock is mounted with two custom laser-cut acryl plaques to fully show the ingenious reprogrammable lock mechanism. ‘Banque Fédérale’ polished and lacquered brass plate, 2 inside frames with eggshell mats and 2 pictures of the Swiss Federal Bank at Place du Molard in Geneva in 1934 and a 1912 inside photograph of the actual Swiss Federal Bank vault where the door came from. Beautiful riginal numbered client key. Door tranche polished and lacquered. The intriguing 'butterfly' door cover has been polished and re-chrome-plated. Stamped numbers repainted by hand to original black color. Door surface repainted to original cream color. With authenticity certificate. Amazing decorative effect.
